The California Wellness Foundation
Kym Dorman has provided a range of evaluation services for the Foundation on various projects since 2009. In 2014, Kym developed the Foundation’s first overarching evaluation and learning framework (while at Harder+Company) to align with the launch of their new strategic grantmaking program: Advancing Wellness. In 2015, while at R+A, Kym conducted the evaluation planning “refresh” process of the evaluation and learning framework to introduce a developmental evaluation approach and update metrics. In 2009, Kym also oversaw the comprehensive evaluation of The Foundation’s Responsive Grantmaking Program, (while at Harder + Company). The project included developing an online grantee survey and using a multicase study design to develop case studies to explore the impact of the grants on grantee organizations. The findings were highlighted in the Foundation’s Reflections series (June 2009), and were used to refine the Foundation’s Responsive Grantmaking approach.
