Blue Ribbon Commission on Climate Action and Fire-Safe Recovery
Los Angeles County, CA

Description
The Blue-Ribbon Commission was formed in response to the wildfires that devastated LA County in January of 2025, with a focus on sustainable recovery and rebuilding. R+A staff provided technical assistance to the Commission on the structure and content of the Preliminary Recommendations and the final Action Plan. R+A also developed the design and layout of the preliminary report, using a minimal style in alignment with the commission’s logo. R+A also provided web design support, created social media templates, and prepared an on-line feedback form for the Commission to solicit public feedback.
The final publication brought together two separate documents under one cover – the Commission’s recommendations and Action Plans, and a research paper on resilient rebuilding prepared by UCLA’s Luskin Center for Innovation. The firm provided document translation and layout of both executive summaries into Spanish.
