Raimi + Associates led a multidisciplinary team of consultants in preparing a comprehensive update to the City of Thousand Oaks' inaugural General Plan from 1970. Thousand Oaks is the second largest city in Ventura County, located approximately 40 miles northwest of Downtown Los Angeles. Thousand Oaks is home to many regional employers, California Lutheran University, Amgen, Los Robles Regional Hospital, Civic Arts Plaza regional performing arts center, and a multitude of established suburban neighborhoods.

 

The community-driven process resulted in a new long-range General Plan that preserves the unique characteristics of the City while creating a more prosperous and sustainable Thousand Oaks. TO2045 addresses the issues of preserving the City’s small-town character and beloved open space, strategically siting targeted growth, support changing community demographics, while maintaining levels of expected public services and economic prosperity.
