The City of Selma and Raimi + Associates were recognized with an Award of Excellence for the Downtown Selma Strategic Plan by the Central Section of the California APA. The Plan was developed through a three-day community design charrette that included Open Studio hours where citizens could review the work in progress. Community needs identified during the charrette were to provide more opportunities for food and beverage, additional places for recreation, establishment of a uniform design aesthetic, planting new street trees and installing café lights, and improving safety for cyclists and pedestrians. Innovative ideas in the Plan include installing a futsal mini soccer field in the currently vacant Union Pacific right-of-way, using food trucks to provide additional dining options, temporary closures of High Street for arts, culture, and other community events, infill housing development on several currently vacant lots, and replacing a confusing intersection with a roundabout to improve safety and contribute to the Downtown’s identity.

R+A's recent work on the City of Culver City's General Plan has been recognized by SCAG and APA. Specifically, the project was awarded: SCAG Sustainability Honorable Mention Award (Plan, Policy, and Programs category); APA Housing and Community Development Award for Housing Innovation; APA Los Angeles Chapter - Award of Merit for the Daniel Burnham - Comprehensive Plan; and the APA California Chapter - Award of Merit for the Daniel Burnham - Comprehensive Plan. Adopted in 2024, the Culver City General Plan covers the State-required General Plan elements in addition to economic development, arts and culture, sustainability, health and equity, and infrastructure. R+A led a team of consultants to develop a plan guided by core values of equity and inclusion, compassion and community, sustainability, and innovation and creativity.

The City of Thousand Oaks and Raimi + Associates received the Award of Merit in Comprehensive Planning from the California APA Central Coast section for the Thousand Oaks General Plan 2045. R+A led a multidisciplinary team of consultants in preparing a comprehensive update to the City of Thousand Oaks' inaugural General Plan from 1970. TO2045 addresses the issues of preserving the City’s small-town character and beloved open space, strategically siting targeted growth, supporting changing community demographics, while maintaining levels of expected public services and economic prosperity. The General Plan process included extensive community engagement across a four-and-a-half-year period with over 75 events. The Final Plan pays homage to community values with separate Arts and Culture, and Governance Elements and integrated topics of Environmental Justice and Climate Change across all General Plan chapters. The Final Plan includes an E-Plan that allows users to search chapters and topics of the General Plan, view interactive maps, and review the implementation actions chart with various filters.
